VOL. 1 GEEK TROUSERS

The XEROXED geek trousers are a unique piece, the result of an intervention of cutting and patchwork carried out on a reprint on fabric of the first issue of Fikafutura: secrezioni acide cyberfemministe e queer, brought out in 1997 as a supplement to the triple issue nos. 6–7–8 of Decoder Rivista Internazionale Underground, published by Shake Edizioni Underground and free from copyright.

The trousers were created by patching together circa 20 A4 sheets of light cotton previously printed with a domestic xerox machine. The ink will slowly expand and fade over time.

The XEROXED geek trousers were conceived for the fourth issue of Dune, Vol. 002 no. 002 on “Value,” published by Flash Art in January 2022.
